Sunflowers – the gem of late summer!

My sunflower slimline card was inspired by the beautiful field of sunflowers where our daughter, son-in-law and grandkids had a family photo session in Spokane, WA. Those photos are so BEAUTIFUL and what better stamp set to capture that beauty than the Celebrate Sunflowers!

Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set and Sunflowers Dies

To make this card:

7 1/2” x 8 3/4” Old Olive Card Stock score at 3 3/4”. 8 1/2” x 3 1/2” Black Cardstock. 2 pieces of 8 1/4” x 3 1/4” Basic White Cardstock, use one for the inside of the card, stamping the small sunflower image on it, adhere with liquid adhesive. Using Bumblebee Ink, stamp the large and small sunflowers randomly onto the second piece of Basic White cardstock, leaving an area for the sentiment. Stamp large and small Sunflowers onto scrap Basic White as well as large and small leaves in Old Olive Ink. Die cut the stamped images. Die cut the detailed sunflower out of Cinnamon Cider Cardstock and the flower center out of Early Espresso.

Using Stampin’ Blends color the die cut Sunflowers with Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody and Cinnamon Cider Blends. Color the die cut leaves using Old Olive and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends. Adhere sunflowers and leaves using dimensionals and liquid adhesive. Stamp the sentiment with old Olive ink.

Slimline cards are so fun to make and are designed to fit into a #10 size envelope. I hope you give them a try!
