Well I had big ideas for Christmas in July, but life had other plans. So here we are, August 10th and I finally have another Christmas card completed!
Showcasing the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer series Paper, with a create on the fly during a Facebook live, I wasn’t super pleased with what I had created and felt it needed a bit more so I did make a modification after the video was over. I simply fussy cut 3 of the packages from the DSP snd popped them up on dimensionals, placing them in a whimsical array and I am much happier with the outcome!
To create this card:
Blushing Bride Cardbase, 5 1/2”x8 1/2” scored at 4 1/4”. Then I took a piece of Misty moonlight 4” x5 1/4” and ran it through the Stampin’ Emboss machine, using the Textured Textiles Embossing Folder, adhered it to the card base with liquid adhesive. Next I took 2 pieces of DSP, choosing the coordinating iridescent angled stripes as an accent strip and adhered it to the card. I stamped the Sentiment with Misty Moonlight ink onto Basic White cardstock and die cut the sentiment, using the Christmas Labels Dies and a second layer from Misty Moonlight. I cut the Misty Moonlight die cut to create the color border accent snd popped it up on dimensionals. I added the fussy cut gifts and rhinestones for that final touch.
