Sweet Little Gifts – Featuring the Snowflake Splendor Suite

One of my favorite memories of Christmastime as a child was wrapping little things like a pack of Dentine gum for my dad or a Mr. Goodbar candy bar for my mom. We did lots of little every day essentials with a sprinkle of sweet treats to fill the space under our tree.

Today’s project was CASE’d from my dear friend Colleen Light, I just loved the darling wrappers she made for full size Hershey Bars and just knew I had to make some myself.

Card Recipe:

I used Highland Heather cardstock, cut at 4” x 9 1/2” Score on the long side (each side) at 1/2” x 3/4”. Score on short side at 3” x 3-1/4”. Cut down each side of the base on the 3/4” score line until you hit the 3” score line (on both sides) Start by cutting along the 3” score line up to the 3/4” score line on both sides so when cutting down the length of the 3/4” score lines you don’t cut too far! Ask me how I know! 🤷🏻‍♀️

I love the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper, so I cut a piece 2-1/4” x 5-3/4” and used liquid adhesive to adhere. Then I cut the piece for the smaller flap 2-1/4” x 2-3/4”. Pro tip, if you are using a patterned paper, make sure you line those images up. That is another ask me how I know 🤪 Using Tear & Tape, it has great hold for these type of projects, fold over the scored flaps and adhere to the card base.

Then I created a tag from Whisper White card stock 2” x 3”, used the Scalloped Tag Topper to punch the decorative top. I then used Pacific Point Ink to stamp the sentiment and stamped off once for the snowflakes and added ribbon to the top of the tag and wrapped around the holder to add stability to the candy bar and a dimensional at the bottom of the tag to hold in place.

Happy crafting, I hope this inspires you when thinking of those sweet gifts for your loved ones!

Easy Card Layout Using Designer Series Paper

Are you in a crafting rut? Do you need a source of inspiration? These are issues I deal with regularly. I find that following other demonstrators live videos, blog posts, Pinterest, Facebook posts and flipping through the catalog can get my creative juices flowing.

I follow Debbie Henderson of Debbie’s Designs, a New England area Demonstrator regularly. Her crafting style is quick and easy, but looks fabulous. Her Designer Paper 4 – Way Set was my inspiration today, I coupled it with the Guilded Autumn Suite to create these fun cards.

Card Recipe:
featuring the Guilded Autumn Suite

4 Card Bases in Early Espresso:
(2) 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” score and fold at 4 1/4” and (2) 11” x 4 1/4” score and fold at 5 1/2”

Guilded Autumn Designer Series Paper:
(4) pieces 5 1/4” x 4” cut 2” off the length and flip the paper over to use the reverse side.

(4) strips of card stock measuring 1/2” x 4”
Or use a piece of coordinating ribbon

Stamp sentiment and embellish as desired onto a 4” x 3” piece of Very Vanilla Card stock. I used Early Espresso Ink for the sentiments, acorn and veining outline of the leaves, Poppy Parade ink for the maple leaf, Crushed Curry for the oak leaf and Mint Macaron (stamped off) for the scattered leaves.

Adhere layers as desired, add a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock measuring 5 1/4” x 4” inside the card and embellish as desired.

In The Pines

Do you ever have something speak to your heart? For me, the In The Pines Bundle and Evergreen 3D Embossing Folder did just that. We are an outdoors family, my husband is a fourth generation logger and living on the edge of the woods in SW Washington State, I just knew as soon as I saw this set I had to have it.

My card inspiration came from Ronda Wade and I put my spin on it with a little (okay a lot!) of Wink of Stella to add that sparkle factor.

Card Recipe:

Crumbcake card stock card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″

Crumbcake card stock 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″

Crumbcake card stock scrap at least 5 3/8″ long

Early Espresso Ink

Old Olive Ink

Wink of Stella

Emboss the 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Crumbcake using the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder. Adhere to the card base.

Using the 2 stamp technique stamp the medium tree image onto the scrap Crumbcake using Early Espresso Ink and the fill in image with Old Olive Ink.

Using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the Pine Woods Dies, die cut your stamped tree image and use the snow bank die along the 5 3/8″ edge.

Use dimensionals to make the 3D effect adhering the tree and the snow bank over the top of the embossed image. Liberally paint Wink of Stella onto the embossed trees abc the snow bank and lightly on the stamped tree. Stamp the sentiment in Early Espresso.

All items can be purchased from my online store, or contact me and I am happy to help! When creating your shopping profile be sure that I am listed as your demonstrator.

Stay crafty my friends!

Slimline Cards!

Many of you know that I am an outdoor girl and married to a logger so anything woodsy speaks to my heart.

When I saw the In The Pines stamp set, I knew it was to be a must have.

These darling, trendy slimline cards are fun to make and lend themselves to a stampscape very well. While this card isn’t a stampscape, it is simple stamping, just requiring paper, ink and adhesive. I used a punch and dimensionals to cover my stamping error 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

Card Recipe:

  • Card base is Old Olive 7″ x 8 7/8″ score and fold at 3 1/2″ #100702
  • 2 Whisper White panels 3 1/4″ x 8 5/8″ #100730
  • In The Pines Stamp Set #153448
  • Old Olive Ink Pad #147090
  • Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad #147083
  • Gray Granite Ink Pad #147118
  • Multipurpose Liquid Glue #110755
  • Stampin’ Dimensionals #104430
Lovely Labels Pick a Punch #152883

The tree images are a 2 step stamping technique using first and second generation stamping with Old Olive Ink, the snow Gray Granite Ink, stamped off 2-3 times for the effect desired.

The sentiment is stamped in Cherry Cobbler on a 3/4″ strip of Whisper White with ends trimmed using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch and popped up on dimensionals. (Scissors work just as well if you don’t have a punch, just cut a banner end or at an angle for the desired effect)

These slimline cards fit right into a business sized envelope, so no need to worry about making a special envelope!

All the supplies used are found in my online store at

The store has an all new design so be sure while shopping, I am your designated demonstrator. Need assistance? I am happy to help, send me a message or give me a call/text.

I hope you enjoy this card, give your own version of a slimline card a try and share it to my Facebook page.

Stay crafty,
