Sale-A-bration is nearly over, ending tomorrow September 30th, but it is not too late to get it for free! This fabulous paper is fun, beautiful, elegant and not all about Christmas! You can earn this Designer Series Paper with a $50 purchase, but once September 30th has passed it will be gone for good.
This darling fun fold card is all about showcasing both sides of the Designer Series Paper, see the DSP is the front flap not a layer on top of the cardstock!
To make this card:
Start with Basic Black Cardstock 5 1/4” x 5 1/2”, scored at 1” on 5 1/2” side. Next take a piece of the Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper 4” x 5 1/2”, line up three sides to the cardstock and adhere the 1” flap to the DSP, be careful to not glue your flap down! Now take the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and die cut a Basic White label the the 3rd die and a Basic Black label from the 2nd die. Stamp the sentiment from Peaceful Deer Stamp Set in Real Red Ink. Adhere the sentiment label to the Basic Black label. Pop the sentiment labels with dimensionals, add Rhinestone Badic Jewels and a faux bow using the Glittered Organdy Ribbon. Add a white panel to the inside, stamping a red snowflake boarder. Remember to decorate your envelopes!
I love the warm, sunny days, crisp nights and watching the leaves change as Autumn takes a hold. The September Paper Pumpkin Exclusive Stamp Set is perfect for making those fabulous Fall and Harvest themed cards and projects.
I chose soft succulent for the card base, stamped the leaf images with Soft Succulent, Pale Papaya and Poppy Parade inks, the leave veins out of Crumb Cake ink onto a 2” wide strip of Basic White cardstock. I took a 2 1/4” strip of the exclusive free Sale-A-Bration Be Dazzling Glimmer Paper and layered it behind the stamped images strip. The sentiment is from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set, using Soft Suede Ink, it is popped up on dimensionals. I added Brushed Metalic Enamel Dots for visual interest.

When my 19 year old son asked me if I would make a sympathy card, of course I said yes. As we were discussing the card he said it was for a teen friend who had lost his mother and my heart broke. The pain on my son’s face was visible and I cannot imagine what his friend is going through.
For this very special card I chose a clean and simple palette, after all this is for a teen boy where bling not the thing unless it is a fishing lure!
The beauty of the Gorgeous Leaves Stamp Set is just the ticket and the clean font of the sentiment from the free Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Delicate Dahlias made it easy to bring my vision to light.
To Make This Card:
Start with a Thick Basic White cardbase, 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” and score at 4 1/4”
I stamped the images with a combination of Soft Seafoam, Mint Macaron, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen inks. Using the Artistically Inked Stamp Set, I chose the alcohol ink splatter image to create the background. Then I stamped the leaves and added the dotted splatters using the Gorgeous Leaves Stamp Set and finished it off with the sentiment from Delicate Dahlias Stamp Set.
Today’s card is for a special coworker, she has a beautiful and kind heart, caring for everyone. So when I heard that her birthday is tomorrow I knew that the card I made needed to be special too.
I have had the Elegantly Said bundle set aside for “something special” but not having a clear vision for it, so I grabbed my idea book (the catalog!) and gave those samples consideration. That corner flourish stamp reminds me of old lace, so having it peak out from under the focal image was perfect, in my opinion.
To make this card:
Start with a piece of Soft Succulent cardstock 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” scored at 4 1/4”. I stamped the corner flourish in Basic Gray. Next I layered Basic Black 3 1/4” x 4 1/4”, added Very Vanilla 3 1/8”x 4 1/8” and topped with that gorgeous Dimply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper 3” x 4”. On a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock I stamped the flower image (stamp off first) with Soft Succulent ink and then punched it out using the Elegant punch. Then, using Momento Black ink I stamped the sentiment, centered on the punched label. I love the effect of the image lightly behind the words. I added a strip of ribbon to the layered pieces and adhered it to the card base with dimensionals. I added a ribbon knot to the top piece of the punched tag and popped it up on dimensionals. Lastly, I added a Very Vanilla piece of cardstock to the inside of the card with the flower image stamped in Soft Succulent ink and added a Bit of the flourish stamped in Basic Gray to the front lower corner of a Very Vanilla envelope.
Today’s card is a CASE (copy and share everything) inspired by June Arnold of Stampwithjune.com. The moment I saw her card I knew I had to recreate it!
I grew up in a small town on the Oregon Coast, the Pacific Ocean is not this color but Coastal Cabana cardstock and ink definitely invoke a sense of home for me.
To make this card:
Coastal Cabana cardstock 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” score at 4 1/4” Stamp the image and sentiment with Coastal Cabana ink. Stamp the pumpkin trio and leaves on Basic White cardstock using Momento Black ink. I colored the pumpkins with Dark Pool Party, Light Bermuda Bay and Light Old Olive, the stems with Dark Mossy Meadow and Light Soft Suede, the blossoms with Light and Dark Daffodil Delight, the leaves with Light and Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends markers. These alcohol markers make it easy to make beautiful colored images.
Next I die cut the colored images using the Detailed Pumpkins Dies and a Basic White panel with the Scalloped and Contoured Dies. I ran the scalloped die cut through the Type Worn 3-D embossing folder and used the flicking technique with the Light Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends marker.
I added a 3/4” x 5 1/2” strip of Buffalo check paper, from the Patterned Party Designer Series Paper pack. This pack is a host special and there are 3 ways you can earn it, ask me how.
I popped the scalloped label up on dimensionals, adhered the pumpkins and leaves with liquid adhesive, being sure to support the edges that hang over the label with dimensionals so they don’t sag.
As summer starts to wind down it is time to reflect on the beauty around us. Our lush green fields have turned a golden color, the flowers are fading. Each season has its beauty and late summer is no exception.
We are incredibly dry here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and I have always loved the late summer hulls and pods of the spent wildflowers, and underbrush we have here. Those images in my thoughts as well as the start of the school year inspired today’s book binding fun fold card.
To make this card:
Basic Black cardbase 4 1/4” x 11” scored at 5 1/2” and 6 3/4”. From left to right, fold on the first score line, and fold back the top flap at the second score line. Adhere the section between score lines on the inside of the card. Then I took Soft succulent cardstock and cut 2 pieces 4” x 4” and 1” x 4” and adhered to the 2 front sections. Using the Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper I cut a 3 7/8” x 3 7/8” and 7/8” x 3 7/8” pieces, adhering to the card front layers. I die cut the silhouette images out of Soft Succulent and Crumb Cake cardstock, lightly sponged Crumb Cake ink over them to bring out subtle texture. I then adhered them to the card front, the cone flower image popped up on dimensionals. I felt it still needed a bit of something so I added wink of Stella to all the silhouette images and it made them pop! The sentiment is in Crumb Cake ink and I used the Double Oval Punch.
I may add a linen thread bow to the bend of the cardbase, but when I was making the card my fingers just couldn’t get it to go! 🤷🏻♀️ Yep it happens!
Fall is quickly approaching, but I am not quite ready to say summer is nearly over. The Nature’s Harvest Stamp Set and Harvest Dies are perfectly suited for summertime and fall themed cards.
I CASED the catalog and used a Basic White thick cardstock for the base 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored at 4 1/4”. The Designer Series Paper is from the Harvest Meadow DSP pack. The layer is 5 1/2” x 3 1/2” adhered to the card base with liquid adhesive. Next I die cut a piece of DSP and Basic White using the Taylor Made Tags Dies. I die cut the lavender sprigs out of Misty Moonlight. I stamped the flower image with Sahara Sand Ink, colored with Crumb Cake, Cinnamon Cider, Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and Mossy Meadow light and dark Stampin’ Blends Markers. I popped the image up with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment with Momento black onto Calypso Coral cardstock and die cut it out, it is also popped up on dimensionals. I used the Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots and some linen thread to make the bow.
