My husband is a manly outdoor kind of guy. He has worked in the woods most of his life, the trees, mountains, rivers and lakes represent his happy place. With this in mind I knew the perfect stamp set and dies to create this Birthday card for him as we celebrate the man I love dearly. The Mountain Air Photopolymer Stamp Set and Majestic Mountain Dies are perfect for creating cards or scrapbook layouts for those rugged outdoor loving people in your life. What makes these stamps great is they are designed to use BOTH sides of the stamp.
Card Recipe:
- Sahara Sand Cardbase 4 1/4″ x 11″ score at 5 1/2″
- Use the smooth side of the mountain stamp first, stamp off and then onto your card front
- Flip the stamp over and use the textured side to place an offset row of mountains
- Stamp the tree images onto scrap Sahara Sand using Garden Green Ink and die cut
- Die cut the detailed tree using Garden Green Cardstock
- Using paper tearing technique, tear the right edge off a 1 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ strip of Night of Navy, repeat with Plaid DSP 1 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and the woodgrain from In Good Taste Designer Series Paper.
- Adhere the torn paper strips together and then onto the left side of the card base. Adhere the detailed tree die cut to the cardbase, positioning as desired. Pop the stamped and die cut trees up on dimentionals
- Stamp your choice of sentiments onto Sahara Sand Cardstock in Night of Navy Ink, trim and use the Triple Banner Punch to one end.
- Use scraps of the woodgrain DSP and Night of Navy Cardstock to add visual interest at the bottom of the tree line.
- Wrap Crumb Cake Bakers Twine vertically over the woodgrain DSP several times and then tie a knot.
