When my 19 year old son asked me if I would make a sympathy card, of course I said yes. As we were discussing the card he said it was for a teen friend who had lost his mother and my heart broke. The pain on my son’s face was visible and I cannot imagine what his friend is going through.
For this very special card I chose a clean and simple palette, after all this is for a teen boy where bling not the thing unless it is a fishing lure!
The beauty of the Gorgeous Leaves Stamp Set is just the ticket and the clean font of the sentiment from the free Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Delicate Dahlias made it easy to bring my vision to light.
To Make This Card:
Start with a Thick Basic White cardbase, 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” and score at 4 1/4”
I stamped the images with a combination of Soft Seafoam, Mint Macaron, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen inks. Using the Artistically Inked Stamp Set, I chose the alcohol ink splatter image to create the background. Then I stamped the leaves and added the dotted splatters using the Gorgeous Leaves Stamp Set and finished it off with the sentiment from Delicate Dahlias Stamp Set.
