Friends Are Like Seashells – Arrow Fold Card

Friends are like seashells, treasures that you collect along the path of life. Having grown up on the Oregon Coast seashells, the ocean and beach scenes have always had a special place in my heart and this bundle was on my must have list!

To make this card

Misty Moonlight cardstock 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” score at 4 1/4”. On one edge on the 5 1/2” side make a tick mark at 2 3/4”, turn the cardstock to the 8 1/2” side, make tick mark at 2 1/8” on both sides. Next score from the 2 3/4” tick mark to the 2 1/8” tick mark on both edges and then score from the 2 3/4” to the 4 1/4” score line on both sides. Fold on the score lines to create an arrow image on the card front.

Next take a piece of Designer Series Paper, I chose the retiring Sand & Sea, 5 1/4” x 4”. Make a tick mark at 2 5/8” on the 5 1/4” side and angle cut from the tick mark to the opposite corner on both sides as shown in the pic above.

I used liquid multipurpose adhesive to glue down the folded flaps, add the DSP triangle to the front panel and the two angled pieces of DSP to a piece of Basic White cardstock measuring 4” x 5 1/4” as shown in the pic and adhere it to the inside of the card.

Using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies, cut one rectangle out of Misty Moonlight and the next size down in Basic White. Using the Seaside Seashells Die Set and Frurnds Are Like Seashells Stamp and die cut the sand dollar, small shell and starfish using Crumb cake Ink, stamping off once and lightly blend Crumb cake Ink over the the die cuts using a blending brush. Stamp the sentiment to the left side of the Basic White die cut rectangle. Best the rectangles together and adhere with multipurpose liquid adhesive, add the shells, sand dollar snd starfish, then adhere the die cut rectangles to the card front, centering it as desired.
