I am writing this, on the eve of Thanksgiving, reflecting on my tiny crafting business and how grateful I am for you all.
Tomorrow I will working my “day” job as Charge Nurse of a new unit with new coworkers. I am grateful for my family who never complain when it is my turn to work a holiday, I love you. I am grateful for those who I have worked with over the years, we have spent many holidays together, missed birthdays, anniversaries, plays and children’s sport events. You all are all in my heart.
My message is simple, enjoy each other and reflect what you are thankful for.
With a grateful heart I share these simple cards I created using the Gilded Autumn Suite.
Card Recipe
Cut 4 card bases from Early Espresso cardstock, two are 4 1/4” x 11” score and fold at 5 1/2”. The other two are 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” score and fold at 4 1/4”. Cut 4 pieces of Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper 4” x 5 1/4” (if using directional paper, pay close attention to not have your paper upside down) cut 2” off the 5 1/4” side on all 4 pieces of DSP and flip the 2” piece over to the other side of the paper. Taking the two pieces that make a 4” x 5 1/4” piece and adhere to the card base, repeat this process for all 4 cards. Cut 4 pieces of Very Vanilla cardstock 3” x 4”. Using Early Espresso Ink stamp the outlines of the maple and oak leaves as well as the acorn in a whimsical pattern on each of the 4 pieces of Very Vanilla cardstock. Using the fill in stamp to color the leaves with Cajun Craze ink, Crushed Curry Ink and the acorn with Early Espresso for the cap and stamp off once for the body. Using Mint Macaron Ink, stamp off once and fill in the spaces between the leaves with the leaf cluster stamp. Stamp the sentiments in Early Espresso. (Stamp 2 in portrait orientation and 2 in landscape) All stamps are from the Beautiful Autumn Stamp Set. Using 1/2” x 4” ribbon or strip of Cardstock, cover the seam between the two sides of DSP. Repeat for all 4 cards. Adhere the stamped cardstock to each card base, add a decorated Very Vanilla panel, measuring 4” x 5 1/4” to the inside of each card. Remember to decorate your envelopes.

I hope you enjoy these cards, did you notice the cuts are the same for the DSP, just change the card orientation and you get a different look!
